Microsoft shutting down multiple Bethesda game studios including the makers of the critically acclaimed Hi-Fi Rush is depressing on two fronts.

First, having a hit game isn’t enough to survive the gaming apocalypse and secondly it’s now layoff season every quarter in big tech.
