Then the government of Ukraine asks her if she'd be comfortable being scanned to be the AI avatar for a character that would speak internationally for Ukraine. She agreed to do this for no compensation.

And internationally, the avatar faced backlash for being yet another example of Black fishing.
The use of and normalization of AI avatars to make official government statements, also makes folks deeply uncomfortable in general.
