I've been cooking regularly for like twenty years. I'm decent with a kitchen knife, but I don't think I'll *ever* be able to do that rapid chopping you see chefs do in the movies. At least not without losing a thumb.

@LouisIngenthron I can do it, but I'm not very good at it. The trick is to curl your fingers of the non-knife hand on top of whatever it is you're chopping. That way, instead of losing a finger, the worst thing that happens is maybe a scraped knuckle.
