"A short time ago, our campaign received two proposals from networks to host general election debates, one from CNN to be held in their Atlanta studios on June 27 and one from ABC News to be held on September 10 in ABC News studios prior to the beginning of early voting. Joe Biden will be showing up to both – the question is will Donald Trump do the same." - Biden/Harris campaign statement

@w7voa Honestly, i do not see much value in these debates. Each candidate, no matter who that person is, comes to the debts to use it as a platform to present his/her platform and possibly take a few swipes at the other candidate. Any actual debate on an issue is purely incidental.

@BertL @w7voa Sure, but the right has been saying for years that Biden is too old and sleepy to do his job. So, he doesn't even have to do well at debating. He just has to prove that basic notion wrong for the people who haven't been paying too much attention.
