Made Wake Island on my #Xplane #flightsim world flight in my #Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet following Jerrie Mock’s route. It is truly a tiny speck with a runway. I used the G1000 to go GPS direct and fly an RNAV approach, Jerrie used VORs and an ADF approach in 1964.
I had a scare about 5NM out. Right main gear would not come down. So I went around, climbed, reset the circuit breaker and after cycling the gear 10 times, it came down and I landed.
@Av8rdan Wait, X-Plane simulates equipment failures? Or is that a mod?
Also, just curious, what's your controller setup?
@LouisIngenthron @Av8rdan yes it can. There is also a 3rd party instructor station app for iPad/iPhone and this can trigger failures, mod weather, etc.
