If the mainstream media wants to do hit pieces on Biden and demand he drop out, fine. Then apply that equally to Trump.
The problem is that they won't...and they have been unwilling to do so for, what, 9-10 years now. Trump (and most of the GOP) gets an eye roll and a pass because the media EXPECT them to ask that way and as such it's not newsworthy. If it's not newsworthy, it's not going to generate profit.
@WideEyedCurious It's also because Biden is trying not to be awful.
But when the media calls Trump awful, he *leans into it* and uses it to rally his supporters.
Where calls to drop out cause Biden's support to wane, calls for Trump to drop out would simply galvanize his base.
I don't understand how more people don't see this very simple dynamic.
