I've been watching Democratic members of Congress one by one roll over for the billionaires. It's really pissing me off.
ProTip: Calling on Biden to drop out just makes you look bought.
If you can't say no to the people funding your campaign, maybe elected office isn't for you. You weren't elected to represent your richest contributor, you represent ALL of your constituents.
Every one of them needs a primary opponent. Every one of them.
@troy_frizzell So, you've totally ruled out the possibility that they're doing what they think is right to win the election, a strategy that many of their constituents agree with?
Yes. Their constituents voted for Biden in the primaries. They have already spoken. The time to run against Biden was last year.
If they wanted to win the election, they would be supporting the candidate of the party. The voters decided that would be Joe Biden. It's time to get with the program or lose to the fascists.
@troy_frizzell How sure about that are you?
Because the democratic party in my state cancelled the primaries and just ran Biden. I never got a chance to vote for the nominee. They never heard my voice. Instead, they hid Biden's weaknesses and said he was soooo articulate behind closed doors.
Once he was let back out into the open, we were able to see for ourselves that Biden doesn't have what it takes to campaign for the next four months and GOTV in the middle. We need someone with stamina, who isn't a gaffe machine, to defeat the existential threat we face.
@troy_frizzell I never got a vote. Why should I care about yours?
And, no, running a guy who can't make it all the way through a sentence is how you hand the election to fascists.
@troy_frizzell Funny, I'm a "vote blue no matter who" proponent and you're telling people to vote against Biden.
Who was it that cared more about defeating fascism?
@troy_frizzell (And, yes, when you disenfranchise people, don't be surprised when they DGAF what the franchise chooses.)
I'm telling people to vote for Joe Biden.
Because he is the nominee chosen by the Democratic Party through their primary process. A process where millions voted for Joe Biden.
You're claiming there is someone else who is going to magically appear and smite Trump. That's just not how it works.
@troy_frizzell Nope, I'm just saying we need someone who is still physically capable of campaigning and getting people excited to vote for them.
No magic needed. Joe just needs to stand aside and let his running mate take the top of the ticket.
@LouisIngenthron
I forgot it's all about you. The millions of Democrats who voted for Biden in the primary should all just shut up because he was unopposed in your state.
You can still vote against Biden if that’s what is important to you.
