@MasterNinjaTS I agree that o/c these faang companies can afford to keep everyone & would still be top of the world. But at the same time - I don’t think faang is doing anything important so ppl need to be forced to leave since the salaries are so high no one would leave on their own.

@carlysagan Not doing anything is part of the problem. The tech majors don't seem interested in putting out products or capabilities that add much value. How about applying AI and software talent to real world pressing problems instead of Second Life 2.0.

@MasterNinjaTS exactly, I don’t agree with any layoffs ever, everyone deserves a job and a second chance. But Faang is useless. We don’t need those companies. We need ppl working on the pending disasters: climate, water, food, housing, grid collapse, space weather, kessler syndrome. Fuck faang.
