When my laptop died about a month ago, I took my daughter's "retired" 2017 HP Pavilion, dropped my dead (2017 HP Envy) laptop's hard drive into it, and that's my daily driver until this clears.

The "surviving" drive is only a couple months old. It's a SanDisk 480 GB. The 1 TB was too expensive. Hope it holds up.

I still have a couple of working NVMe drives (1 TB and 240 GB), but no hardware that can run them.

I was looking forward to a laptop with 32 GB RAM. Not happening soon, I guess.

There's always my 2011 iMac running Debian with 20 GB RAM on a spinning 1 TB drive ...
