We knew the health risks. But did they know the climate risks. Probably. They certainly knew by the oil price shock in 1970s but chose to ignore it & deliberately campaign against climate damage from fossil fuels.

And the Biden administration has just decided that Mohamed bin Salman is immune from being sued for murdering Jamal Khashoggi.
