@mametsuko Just my opinion: I like having a degree because it will look good on my CV (once I get around to making one). But by no means does having a degree directly correspond to being qualified in a particular area. A college or university education is no substitute for genuine ingenuity. There have been plenty of people who dropped out of college and then went on to found billion dollar companies, because they had the smarts to come up with a world-changing idea. Not to mention the Internet makes all the knowledge of a university readily available to anyone. I may have completed an associate's program in information technology, but I'm still almost entirely self-taught.
