@jmons Maybe. I looked at that one for a long time before settling on dope. "Straight dope" was apparently a horse racing term in the late 19th century. The "straight dope" on a horse would be all the info, including whether it was being doped. So I can believe dope as a synonym for information existed in 1924, especially with mob culture/speakeasy influences during Prohibition.
@SETIEric It is quite jolting seeing a lot of slang in it that I'ld associated from txt speak of early 00's - a lot more OM's and 'ur' / 'u' then Il'd have expected. But the letter in question does look very similar to the d in 'good' and 'crd'.
It's a beautiful card.
