Seeing the parading of a corpse of a judge around Washington.... Seems inappropriate. Has this ever been done before in US history? It's a very odd spectacle.

@SecondJon prolonged funeral processions for high level officials is like the most human thing in the world. I don’t recall Scalia getting this much attention… 🤔

@canonicalbrud it may be done around the world. Can't remember the last time it was done in America, having a corpse of a public official paraded like this. May be human to worship political leaders, but I think it's not particularly democratic.
