When guys like Mike Johnson tell you to read the Bible to know their position on something, they don't mean read the actual Bible because they've probably never read it themselves.
They just mean they hate women and queer people. And they know you know that. They're just hiding their hate behind religion because other Christians let them off the hook for it.

As a real American, quite frankly, fuck the Bible. If you’re an elected official in our secular democracy in need of a position on an issue, read the constitution. Our country is based on laws, not beliefs.
