I’m increasingly wary of narratives in which moral characters win simply by being moral.

That’s just not how the world appears to work, my friends. Strategy and tactics and timely decisions and all that blocking & tackling are what carry the day.

Yes we should do all that within an ethical framework, but we should also fking *win.*
