Mental Health, sudden recall. CW for Length.

You ever just suddenly remember something from your past in like super vivid detail?

When I was first diagnosed with Bipolar disorder I lived in a couple of residential treatment facilities (Two, over the course of about 6-8 months) . During this time I took a test, like a personality test or something. It was a long test that asked many of the same questions in different ways.

I, of course, pointed this out to the proctor.

So, the test was done, I gave them my answers and maybe a week later I sat with a gentleman who apparently was in charge of understanding what my answers in the test meant.

I recall him going into my gender a lot- and I know exactly why: Several questions were, almost exactly, "Have you ever wondered what it be like to be the opposite gender".

And so, being the curious and honest young man I was at the time I answered yes to all of those questions.

I remember thinking- How cool would it be to be able to experience life as someone else, a different gender or culture or what have you- how much better could I understand myself if I was able to live those lives even for a day or two?

Anyways, that's the memory that came rushing back.
