Reminder: George Carlin said Don't Punch Down.
"Most comedians, myself included, pick on people who have some power and position and abuse it. But Clay, he picks on foreigners, homosexuals and women - who are all underdogs in this society. And it makes me wonder what he's thinking, because he says all these things and his audience responds because he plays to their prejudices."
--George Carlin
George Carlin has a rep as an "offensive comedian," but he knew what he was doing. Right after the bit where he says all the words you can't say -- which conservatives love to point to as "good humor the SJWs wouldn't like" -- he goes on to say:
"there's nothing wrong with any of those words, in and of themselves -- they're only words! it's the *context* that counts, it's the user! it's the intention *behind* the words that makes them good or bad!"
George Carlin: language is contextual, the meaning and intent behind your words is much more important than the words themselves. and I'm gonna drop a buncha words which are, in different context, pretty bad, but meaningless when said in a list like this, just to prove that point.
conservatives: haha he said bad word, SJWs wouldn't like that!
@jacethechicken I still love Niger.
It's a great country.
