Caravan Palace, Daft Punk (pre-RAM), Justice, and Neil Cicierega.

Back when I was having to expand my JS, PHP, and SQL knowledge on a daily basis, or lose my job, I relied on:

Bjork, Aphex Twin, and Ghost.

It really depends on what you're studying, too. But, in general, what is best is music that is surprising. Repetitive is good for staying in a groove. Doing things you already know.

If you need to actually learn something new, it's best to associate it with either something new, or something you rarely listen to.

Nowadays, when I need to focus, I use bands like 40 Watt Sun, The Sword, Mahr, and Mgla.
