The Kyiv region is launching a Primrose environmental campaign to protect rare and endangered plant species. State Ecological Inspectorate of the Capital District and the National Police will be conducting raids on places where primroses are sold. People are encouraged to not buy primroses in order to help preserve the species. Anyone found to be illegally purchasing or selling primroses from the Red Data Book of Ukraine will be fined between 510 and 1700 hryvnias and the plants will be confiscated. If anyone sees a violation of the law, such as destruction of the natural population of primroses, picking them for bouquets, or selling them, they are asked to immediately contact law enforcement by calling 102.
