lives on 10 acres in a sparsely populated area of the Ozarks. I heat with wood that is leftover by the lumber industry. When cutting oak for lumber only the trunk is used.

For the curious, this is my wood furnace. I got all the ducting repaired right before it warmed up. That door is 14" by 14". I keep a few 12 inch logs around. I can get a couple of those inside and then the smaller stuff and be gone all day.
Redbud are blooming. The photo on the left shows where I will plant the dahlias when I have my 28 holes dug. Right along that rock border. The other photo is looking east
