Ukraine is spending its entire peacetime state budget on the military. At the same time, social and humanitarian sectors are being funded with the help of international partners. As a result of the war, Ukraine has lost more than 30% of its GDP in the past year. The budget deficit is now at $38 billion. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has stated this.
