The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has informed the former CEO of Antonov, Serhiy Bychkov, and several of his subordinates that they are suspected of involvement in the destruction of the legendary Mriya aircraft at Gostomel airport. SBU Head Vasyl Malyuk has promised that those responsible for the destruction of the aircraft will receive a well-deserved punishment. The SBU is conducting an investigation into the case and has gathered evidence that the former Antonov executives prevented the National Guard from entering the Gostomel airport and did not allow the construction of defensive fortifications. If found guilty, they could face up to 15 years in prison. Malyuk also stated that the state will build a new aircraft, as Mriya, like Ukraine, cannot be destroyed.
