One of the most experienced American F-16 pilots, Dan Hampton, has declared his readiness to fight in the skies of Ukraine. Lieutenant Colonel Hampton (retired) has participated in wars in the Persian Gulf, the Balkans and Iraq, and has 151 combat missions under the call sign Two Dogs. He has proposed both a simple and a complex solution to the F-16 problem for Ukraine, suggesting that retired pilots with experience in piloting F-16s should be invited to fly them under conditions similar to those used by the International Legion in Ukraine. He has stated that there are many people who are willing to do this, and he is ready to be the first.
