Ukraine now has the ability to access emergency electricity not only from neighboring countries, but also from other EU countries. This agreement, signed with 15 system operators of the European energy association ENTSO-E, allows Ukraine to seek assistance in unforeseen situations, such as Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. This emergency assistance is an urgent supply of electricity from another country at the request of the system operator if internal reserves and means to avoid simultaneous disconnection of a large number of consumers have already been exhausted. This will strengthen the resilience of Ukraine's power system, which is critical in a full-scale war. Thanks to the solidarity and determination of their friends, Ukrenergo can count on a large emergency assistance, meaning that even in the darkest times, Ukrainians will have light at home.
