He left 50 days ago from Amsterdam to Kyiv to raise money to buy ambulances for Ukraine
During this time, Dutch ultramarathon runner Boas Kragtwijk covered 2,500 km. With his run, he also sought to draw the attention of Europeans to how close the fighting was taking place.
Kragtwijk ran from 40 to 60 km daily, and along the route he was accompanied in a car by a manager and a photographer. As a result of the race, Boas raised €65,000. That's the cost of two ambulances, each of which will help save up to 25 lives a day.
