💬 Currently, about $500 billion of russian assets have been confiscated around the world, and this money is lying around and not being used because states are still very slow in working out the confiscation processes, the MP emphasized.

The situation in the European Union is more complicated, because there is a need not only to find an effective confiscation mechanism, but also to ensure that this method satisfies all members of the association.

💬 The EU says it wants to confiscate russian assets, but it is looking for mechanisms that will satisfy all participants. Therefore, European countries are now working on their own mechanisms at the national level. Estonia is in the lead here, and we expect that at the end of the year, the Estonian parliament will decide on the legal method of confiscating russian
