The Pentagon and the U.S. State Department disagree on the provision of certain weapons for Ukraine, Politico reports, citing an unnamed official.
"The State Department looks at opportunities, while the Defense Ministry looks at threats. Pentagon officials say they have to weigh the pros and cons of every arms decision, and that the responsibility for that lies with them," the official explained.
The article says that the ATACMS missiles that Biden agreed to send to Ukraine last week are a recent example of this, as the Pentagon initially resisted their transfer.
