China poses obstacles to Ukraine in 'drone war' - The New York Times

China introduced restrictions on the supply of civilian drones and components on September 1, and a couple of months before that, Chinese companies reduced their sales. At the same time, Russia purchased at least $14.5 million worth of drones in the first half of 2023.

It is noted that it is still possible to purchase drones from China, but now this requires looking for intermediaries and inventing increasingly complex supply chains.

According to official customs data, Ukraine has recently received millions of Chinese drones and components. Most of it came from European intermediaries.
