The commander of the Azov unit, Denis Prokopenko (“Redis”), again headed his unit, - Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klimenko in an interview with UP

Klimenko clarified that Bogdan Krotevich, another of Azovstal’s defenders in Mariupol, is now the chief of staff of the Azov division, and the division itself is headed by Prokopenko.

Prokopenko is responsible for training personnel.

“It is completely integrated into the process. He’s getting back into the swing of things, making up for the time he was away,” Klimenko added.
