Russia is trying to recruit a Serb brigade for the war
Russia is struggling to hold out without mobilization until the presidential elections in March 2024. Therefore, foreigners, in particular Serbs, are actively lured into the war, writes the BBC.
Recruitment is directly carried out by Serbian citizen Davor Savicic, who in 2014 formed a platoon of Serbs as part of the Wagner PMC. First, the mercenaries are accommodated in a hostel in Krasnogorsk near Moscow, then documents are prepared for the military registration and enlistment office and contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The leader of the Night Wolves bikers, Alexander Zaldostanov, and Mark Milosevic, the son of the ex-president of Serbia, were also involved in the recruitment.
