The SBU took an FSB agent out of Transnistria and detained an FSB agent in Odesa

A citizen of Ukraine who left for Moldova in the early 1990s took part in the war on the side of the militants of the so-called PMR. Subsequently, he became a sniper in the Russian-controlled unit of the "internal troops of Transnistria", then he was appointed commander of the 17th special forces unit "Edelweiss" of the Ministry of the Interior of Russia.

In 2014, he arrived in Odesa to commit mass riots in favor of the Russian Federation, for which he was declared wanted by Ukrainian law enforcement officers. In order to avoid justice, the suspect fled to the fake PMR.

In 2023, he was tasked with creating his own agent network in the south of Ukraine. For this purpose, the suspect tried to remotely recruit residents of Odesa region, including law enforcement officers.

The counter-intelligence officers introduced an active employee of the Security Service into his field of vision. The perpetrator came to Odesa to personally recruit the "candidate". He was arrested red-handed.
