Awad Darawshe was a Muslim paramedic who was close to the scene of the massacre at the Nature Party Nova rave festival, which took place near the Gaza Strip border. According to Israel's official Twitter account: "His friends begged him to evacuate, but he insisted on staying and tending to the wounded. He was killed by Hamas and his ambulance was stolen and taken to the Gaza Strip."
