In an article for Foreign Affairs, Kuleba rejected arguments that it is time for Ukraine to think about compromises to end the war and named three key components that will help Ukraine to obtain peace on its own terms in the long run.

▫️The first is military assistance, including aircraft, drones, air defense systems, shells, and long-range missiles

▫️The second is the development of defense industry capacities in the United States, Europe, and Ukraine

▫️The third is a principled and realistic approach to the prospects of negotiations with Russia

He reminded that by February 24, 2022, Ukraine had had about 200 rounds of negotiations with Russia in various formats and 20 attempts at a "ceasefire," and Ukraine even made some concessions - which still ended in a full-scale invasion.

Kuleba also urged not to perceive assistance to Ukraine as charity, as it "returns concrete security dividends to those who provide this assistance."
