To be fair, there are many times when it should be against the law to follow the bible, but this is definitely not one of them.

The USA is utterly screwed.

@TheOldGuy
Not only Christianity, but Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, and other religions also say to help the poor and sick among us. Even if one is an atheist, it is a natural human feeling to help. Laws against helping the poor and homeless are illegal and should be struck down.
Also, #separation of church and state is overdue in the #usa

@jadugar63 Not just the poor. I get great satisfaction taking flowers to the CCU at Cox hospital in Branson. It brightens their day. Zinnias easily last a week.

Used to be really involved in #FoodNotBombs. We had this priest in Fort Lauderdale who was one of the local organizers there, and I remember not long after I moved away, he got arrested a couple times for his involvement.

Eventually the local police got so disgusted by it that they just started refusing to go arrest him when the mayor asked them to. Pretty sure the mayor lost the next election.

Still, absolutely insane that this happens, and very telling that it's not front and center when they start talking about "religious persecution", when this is like the one thing Jesus would actually demand you break the law on.

@Raccoon yeah, I think Jesus would say that is a law you don't have to obey.
