Ukraine receives more and more ammunition for German Gepard air defense systems.
The other day it became known that the supply of ammunition to Gepard anti-aircraft guns has improved.
In the summer, BILD reported that there was not enough ammunition for Gepard anti-aircraft guns in Germany, and due to the shortage, Ukrainian anti-aircraft fighters were forced to conserve them. Later, the Ministry of Defense of the Federal Republic of Germany announced that they were increasing supplies.
The other day, in a conversation with BILD, an anonymous officer of the Armed Forces confirmed that the supply of ammunition to the Gepard has indeed improved somewhat.
Production of projectiles
It will be recalled that last year the Rheinmetall defense concern launched a new line at the plant in Unterluss (Lower Saxony) in a few months to increase the production of anti-aircraft shells.
In total, Rheinmetall promised to supply Ukraine with 300,000 35 mm shells for the Gepard. But this year, only 40,000 units will be sent.
