"If the government can't, we can"

— Citizens of Slovakia raised two million euros to supply ammunition to Ukraine after the country’s authorities refused to do so.

Reuters reports this .

The government of the country's Prime Minister, Robert Fico, refused to participate in the international initiative of the Czech Republic to purchase artillery ammunition for Ukraine. After this, the residents themselves began collecting money for ammunition.

Fundraisers say they want to show that the majority disagrees with the country's foreign policy after the September election.
