Iranian media report on the "hard landing" of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's helicopter - mass media

Raisi was heading to the province of East Azerbaijan to open a dam. State television said the incident took place near the town of Jolfa, located on the border with Azerbaijan, about 600 kilometers northwest of Iran's capital, Tehran.

According to IRNA, among the passengers of this helicopter were Raisi, Ayatollah al-Hashem, Imam of Juma-Tabriz, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Governor of East Azerbaijan Malik Rahmati. Severe weather conditions and heavy fog make it difficult for more than 20 rescue teams and drones to work as visibility was literally 5 meters.

Until now there were no signs of survivors.
The Mehr news agency deleted previously published information that “the President of Iran is fine and is traveling by car to Tabriz”
