Released from Russian captivity, a policewoman from Mariupol endured sexual violence for two years, according to ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets.

The 24-year-old policewoman was freed during the latest exchange after spending over two years in Russian captivity. Under international humanitarian law, she is not considered a prisoner of war as a police officer, but Russians treated her as such.
