The SSJ that crashed in the Moscow region carried gas workers all over the country and had been doing so successfully since 2015. But something went wrong during the repairs and now the commission will have to find out what exactly. Oleg Smirnov, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Commission of the Public Council of Rostransnadzor, told Zvezda about this.

He noted that this particular SSJ was manufactured back in 2014 and is 75% made up of Western components. Now, due to sanctions, it is quite difficult to repair them.

At the same time, Smirnov emphasized that the plane was flown by an experienced crew and there can be no complaints about it.
