In Switzerland, a Russian diplomat is suspected of espionage and the illegal purchase of weapons, — Deutsche Welle reports.

Swiss prosecutors are investigating three individuals who procured weapons and other dangerous materials in violation of local military property laws. One of them is a Russian with diplomatic accreditation in Bern, for whom a “national arrest warrant” has already been issued.

According to preliminary information, the Russian diplomat managed to leave Switzerland. He had previously been under the surveillance of Swiss special services due to suspicions of espionage for Russia.
