The day before, the Russians may have used a new type of drone during their attack on Ukraine, according to Defense Express.

In the morning summary from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on repelling another air attack, an "unspecified type of UAV" was mentioned alongside Shahed-type attack drones.

An initial image of the wreckage of this new drone surfaced online, showing significant differences from the Shahed-136. The drone reportedly flew at an extremely low altitude of 20-30 meters, suggesting it was likely a kamikaze drone, as per Defense Express.

Defense Express claims to have obtained additional photos from its own sources, showing the downed drone with a possible wingspan of over four meters, beam-like tail fins, a thruster, and a square-profile fuselage. These features might resemble the Russian ZALA 421-20, which has some similar characteristics. However, the ZALA 421-20 is a reconnaissance UAV and is unlikely to fly at such a low altitude. Additionally, such drones are not widely distributed and are unlikely to be in production yet.

Currently, the wreckage of the drone is under investigation to establish the manufacturer and the components used in its assembly.
