A briefing was held on the results of the Staff of the Supreme Commander.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the head of the Coordination Staff Kyrylo Budanov, the Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets, the head of the SBU Vasyl Malyuk, the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko, the head of the SSR Oleg Ivashchenko, the deputy head of the Central Department of the General Staff of Ukraine Oleksandr Verbovenko took part in the communication with the press.
Kyrylo Budanov reported that a report on the work of the Coordination Staff was heard at the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and a number of decisions were made. In particular, by order of the President, it was decided to create a Public Council at the Coordinating Headquarters and a coordinating body, which will include the heads of the structures involved in the work of the Coordinating Headquarters.
Also, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications announced the principles by which negotiations on the release of prisoners will be conducted: Ukraine first of all demands the return of the seriously ill and seriously injured, as well as women. Preference will be given to those who have been in captivity the longest.
💬 "We will also make every effort to return civilian prisoners," Kyrylo Budanov noted. "In particular, those who have been in captivity since 2014. Special attention is given to the defenders of Mariupol and, in particular, to those who defended Azovstal. We will not forget about the Crimean Tatars either".
