Operational information of the General Staff of Ukraine as of 10:00 p.m. 08/21/2024 regarding the Russian invasion

A total of 110 combat clashes took place since the beginning of this day. Ukrainian defenders continue to resolutely repel the enemy's attempts to advance deep into our territory, inflicting effective fire damage on the occupiers. The hottest situation remains in the Pokrovsky direction.
Today, the Russian invaders launched a single missile strike with two missiles and 76 airstrikes on the territory of Ukraine, dropping 100 anti-aircraft missiles. They also fired more than three thousand shots at the positions of our troops and populated areas.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attacked the defense lines of our soldiers near Liptsi and Vovchansk five times. Four attacks repulsed, one continues.

In the Kupyansk direction, 16 combat clashes took place near Petropavlivka, Synkivka, Stelmakhivka, Berestovo and in the area of ​​Andriivka. Twelve clashes have been completed, four are ongoing.

During the day, Russian invaders attacked Ukrainian positions near Torsky, Novosergiivka, Makiivka, Grekivka, and Sergiivka 17 times in the Lymansky direction. Our defenders repelled 16 attacks, one more - continues.

In the Siverskyi direction, the defenders of the Ukrainian land repelled one enemy assault in the area of ​​Spirny.

In the Kramatorsk direction, six battles were fought near Hryhorivka, Chasovoy Yar and Predtechyny, one of which is still ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction, the Russians attacked Ukrainian troops five times near Toretsk and Severny. They had no success.

Since the beginning of this day, 46 battles have been fought in the Pokrovsky direction near Panteleimonovka, Vozdvizhenka, Zeleny Pol, Myrolyubivka, Grodivka, Mykolaivka, Novogrodivka, Mykhailivka, and Ptychy. Defense forces repelled 44 attacks, two are still ongoing.
According to preliminary information, 238 occupiers killed and wounded were neutralized today in this direction. An armored combat vehicle, an ATGM and a car were also destroyed. In addition, a tank, five artillery systems and an armored combat vehicle were damaged.

In the Kurakhiv direction, the enemy attacked our positions 13 times, tried to advance near Georgiivka, Kostyantynivka, and Pobieda. Received a decent rebuff.

No active actions of the occupiers were noted in the Vremiv, Orikhov, and Dnipro directions. However, the invaders carry out airstrikes and permanently shell the territory of Ukrainian cities and villages and the positions of our units .

Today, it is worth noting the soldiers of the 42nd separate mechanized brigade, who effectively destroyed the enemy, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment.
