A shortage of saline solution has formed in Russia. The reason given is that "it is unprofitable for manufacturers to ship the product at the set price"

Several entrepreneurs told russian media about the shortage of sodium chloride solution.

According to them, the production of saline solution at factories is not growing due to low profitability. It is mainly produced by government orders, since it is considered a vital medicine and its price is regulated. Due to the rise in the cost of raw materials, production is becoming unprofitable.

Currently, all batches are going to the needs of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Defense. Because of this, commercial deliveries are temporarily at a standstill - most pharmacies have not received any since about the end of November - beginning of December. The leftovers are sold at a higher price than usual: the usual 400-milliliter bottle costs 60 rubles instead of 25-30 rubles, as before.

In most cases, pharmacists offer an alternative - a set of ten ampoules of five milliliters for 150 rubles. Customers are expecting the quota to be raised in January-February - then supplies will improve, but the price will increase again.

- They keep wasting their saline solution on wounded orcs, but they still die.
