Zelensky: Ukraine and the U.S. could jointly develop mineral resources under a potential deal with Trump’s administration
In an interview with Reuters, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that as part of a possible agreement with the Trump administration, Ukraine and the U.S. could jointly extract mineral resources on Ukrainian territory.
“We must stop Putin and protect what we have — our very rich Dnipro region and central Ukraine,” Zelensky said.
The president emphasized that Kyiv is not offering to “give away” its resources to the U.S., but rather to establish a mutually beneficial partnership for their joint development.
“The Americans have helped the most, so they should benefit the most. They should have this priority, and they will have it. I would also like to discuss this with President Trump,” he added.
