Trump’s spiritual advisor Mark Burns admits mistake in opposing aid to Ukraine

Mark Burns, a pastor and spiritual advisor to Donald Trump, has admitted he was wrong to support ending military aid to Ukraine. He says his views changed after visiting the country.

In his statement, Burns called on Trump to supply Ukraine with more fighter jets, tanks, and air defense systems.

“I now believe that supporting Ukraine is ‘America First’. When you witness the atrocities committed by the Russians — it’s pure evil. In such moments, politics takes a back seat,” he said.

Burns referred to Putin as “pure evil” and added that by supporting Ukraine, he hopes to reach out to others who, like him, had been “brainwashed by fake news” about the war.
