@TheOldGuy even if they didn't - the main result of free school breakfast is that hungry kids get breakfast.

If hungry kids getting breakfast isn't a good enough outcome for you then there's something broken in your soul.

@TheOldGuy My reflexive response to this is "at what point did anyone establish that the people who are proponents of school prayer care anything about the kids' grades?"

@TheOldGuy There's evidence that prayer does nothing or leads to worse outcomes.

A study tested the result of prayer on recovery from surgeries and found no statistically significant difference in recovery time between unprayed patients and prayed patients who didn't know that their recovery was being prayed on.

For prayed patients that knew that they were being prayed for, the recovery outcomes were worse, seemingly due to performance anxiety.
