As I was reading this, I imagined a certain russian dictator utilizing the resources at his disposal, not in waging war against a sovereign neighbor nation, but investing in his own country, its resources, the citizens

I think about that a lot, what that country could have become over the last few years.

It makes my head spin how deeply we'll often bury ourselves in hatred heedless of the cost-- the tunnel vision of digging our own grave
