Rideshare is getting really bad. Obviously the investor subsidized costs were going to end. But the quality of service is atrocious.

👎🏿 Pickup time estimates are wildly inaccurate

👎🏿 Drivers canceling after minutes spent waiting

👎🏿 Drivers accept rides and then go off in the wrong direction

I've also experienced a lot of just honest mistakes by drivers, and I can't hate on that too much, but it's frustrating.

Taxis are only the better option some places. Transit is so underinvested that the convenience is often awful.

@acjay I can tell you that #3 is drivers working multiple apps at once. They're finishing up dropping off that Doordash, then will come get you and drop you off before heading off to that Instacart batch. Drivers can't make any money just working in one app.

It works the other way, too. Like riders who'll program in a long ride (big fare), only to edit it to some lousy $3 eight-block ride once in the car. Or an upfront tip luring you in that gets deleted post-ride.
