As someone who doesn't despise AI, I really don't understand why others do.

@bobdobberson Ah, with LLM usage, the problem is with people that push it onto others where it does not make sense.
Much like with every hype thing, for example blockchain. The technology did nothing wrong, it's just misapplied out of greed.
@admitsWrongIfProven of course. The problem isn't the tool, it is how people are using (promoting and pushing) the tool.
@bobdobberson I really hope there will not be any AI soon. Misusing a tool is one thing, abusing a sentient being another.
The AI debate is just like the migrant debate: ignore the suffering of others.
@admitsWrongIfProven I mean, we still live in the age of human slavery, so... I mean, it might suck for a digital consciousness, and if we're willing to do it to other humans, we will do it to them, too.
